Joan Chamorro presenta Magalí Datzira

Magalí Datzira is a double bass player and vocalist.

Since she started singing, in the second CD-DVD of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, when she was only 13 years old, an original and very personal voice could be glimpsed. She has a very particular way of approaching tempo and melodies, reading them in a special way and approaching a score as if compasses did not exist.

It is impossible to remain indifferent while listening to Magalí singing. Her voice is special, uniquely beautiful, and combines sweetness and character in a balanced way, instinctively. Magalí is a person with character, committed to her convictions and with a sense of freedom that she knows how to transfer to music, both with the double bass and, above all, with her voice.

As in previous albums, Ignasi Terraza, Josep Traver and Esteve Pi collaborate on this new album. And we have also counted on Curro Gálvez, Perico Sambeat, Josep M. Farràs and Scott Robinson.

Among the youngest members of the band, Andrea Motis, Iscle Datzira, Eva Fernández and all the members of the SAJB who participate in one way or another.
