Tete Montoliu (Barcelona 1933-1997).

He was the most international jazz musician our country has ever produced. His figure has been crucial to the projection of the language of jazz to the world from the European continent.

He was the most international jazz musician our country has ever produced.

Over the course of his career, he recorded more than a hundred albums in which he made his contribution as an absolute jazz musician and as a pianist of this language with his own unique and distinctive identity clear.

That is why, and for many other reasons, in memory of the 25 years of his absence and the celebration of his 90th birthday in 2023, we have considered it opportune and necessary to activate this extraordinary proposal to keep the memory of his figure and his work alive and on stage.

An initiative whose protagonists are a basic formation and diverse guests who had a link of maximum proximity with the Catalan pianist on both an artistic and personal level.

Line-up:

Laura Simó, voice

Ignasi Terraza, piano

Horacio Fumero, double bass

Aldo Caviglia, drums
