Èlia Bastida meets Scott Hamilton, Noisy-le-Grand

Two generations of musicians, united by a passion for jazz and beautiful melodies, combine their notes and emotions for a concert full of virtuosity and sentimental moods!

A new voice in jazz violin, the young Barcelona-born Èlia Bastida is joined by the famous American tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton and the Spanish bassist and bandleader Joan Chamorro.

This concert features compositions from their third album together. In a quintet, with Joan Monné on piano and Arnau Julià on drums, they will perform their songs over a selected repertoire and standards with customised arrangements. The multi-instrumentalist has already recorded some thirty albums, on violin, vocals and tenor sax. As for Scott Hamilton, he is one of the greatest names in saxophone, in the tradition of Coleman Hawkins, Don Byas, Zoot Sims...

From their meeting is born a dialogue of instruments full of nuance and rare elegance.
