F. CARLQUIST & J. CHAMORRO “SAXOPHONE CONVERSATIONS” (St. Andreu de la Barca)

Fredrik Carlquist started playing with Joan Chamorro in the Big Band Jazz Terrassa in 2003. The interest of both of them in the melodic interpretation of cool jazz and West Coast jazz styles led to Chamorro appearing as a guest on Carlquist's Playing Cool album, released in 2010.

The album Saxophone Conversations was released in 2018 and received an excellent reception with over half a million plays on Spotify.

Both saxophonists have performed together regularly under the direction of Carlquist, who has created a repertoire of standards and originals

The music starts from the swing era and continues to Carlquist's original compositions, where elaborate ideas merge perfectly with improvisations.
