BITENOR arises from an idea of tenor saxophonist Juan Chamorro, passionate about the famous battles of tenors, which brought together musicians such as Dexter Gordon, Wardell Gray, Genne Ammons, Sonny Stitt, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis and Johnny Griffin. The group was formed trying to find the special atmosphere generated by the presence of two tenor saxophones, a very energetic and enveloping sound. For this, Chamorro counted on Víctor de Diego. The sound and personal style of each of these saxophones creates an attractive contrast within the same language. The rhythmic base formed by Elisabet Raspall (piano), Nono Fernández (double bass), and Pau Bombardó (drums), provides color, variety and above all, energy.
