Joan Chamorro y la Joven Borondón Big Band (Canarias)

The Joven Borondón Big Band was born within the educational project Fábrica MAT of Fábrica la Isleta in 2020 under the auspices of a seminar led by Joan Chamorro, within the framework of Fábrica Fest Plus. The project is directed by José Ángel Vera Bello.

The aim of the project is for the Joven Borondón Big Band to serve as a platform for musicians between the ages of 9 and 21, thus promoting Canarian talent and offering the opportunity to enjoy and learn in a fun and professional manner.

So far it is the only big band (jazz orchestra) formed by musicians of such young ages in the Canary Islands that has managed in a short time to have a personal sound that respects the tradition of this style.
